Appeal for witnesses to assault and disorder |
||
|
Hello Resident, We are appealing for witnesses to an assault and disorder in Chesham in the early hours of this morning. A man with a knife got out of a white Toyota Prius and attacked another man in Britannia Road at around 1.45am. The victim fled to Brockhurst Road, where around 30 people were involved in disorder. Officers attended and dispersed the group. The victim, who is in his thirties, suffered multiple cuts but has been discharged from hospital. We have arrested two men from Chesham, aged 23 and 59. They remain in police custody. We understand this assault and disorder in the early hours of this morning may be concerning for the community but we believe it was a targeted incident with those involved all known to each other. Anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to a uniformed officer. We quickly dispersed the group involved in the disorder and have had officers in the area throughout the day as part of our investigation. Any witnesses or anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43260242220. If you have CCTV or a video doorbell in the area, or you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash-cam, please check your recording in case it has captured something that could assist us and get in touch if you have. Anyone with relevant footage or images can send them to us directly via this dedicated online portal. Kind regards, | ||
